The 7th edition of the Eranad Jalotsavam was successfully held at Maithrayi, Areekode, drawing large crowds and spirited participation from across the region. After a gap of 18 years, the much-loved water festival returned with renewed enthusiasm, celebrating the rich cultural and sporting heritage of the area.
The event, which featured traditional boat races and various water-based competitions, was inaugurated by Hon. Minister for Public Works and Tourism, Shri P.A. Mohammed Riyas. The ceremony was presided over by Shri P.K. Basheer MLA and witnessed the participation of 16 dynamic teams vying for the coveted title of “Jalarajavu” (Water King).
Sky Wave Water & Amusement Park proudly extended financial sponsorship for the event, reaffirming its commitment to community development and cultural revival. By supporting this vibrant celebration, the park demonstrated its dedication to encouraging local traditions, promoting tourism, and fostering regional unity.
Speaking on behalf of the park, the management team expressed their gratitude for being part of such a meaningful and impactful initiative. “We believe in giving back to the community and promoting healthy, inclusive recreational activities,” said a representative from Sky Wave Water & Amusement Park.
The event concluded with the winning team being crowned Water King, amidst cheers and celebrations, marking yet another successful chapter in the legacy of the Eranad Jalotsavam.
